This past week at the 2009 Annual Convention of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy, we announced the reopening of our training program for 1st quarter 2010. We have been training therapists since 1991, conducting more than a hundred 2-day Introductory Workshops, 6-day Intensive Workshops and in-depth week-long Practicum. Over time we saw the strengths and weaknesses of traditional workshop-based clinical training. So in 2004 we stopped large-scale training, and continued with a small group of dedicated students. We spent the next five years teaching the Crucible Approach in more than 15 countries around the world. Then we started from scratch and designed a new generation of instruction, combining the best methods of clinical training, didactic education, and personal application. We‘ve harnessed the power of on-line interactive training and eLearning systems to firmly set the ideas in students' brains. And we kept our person-to-person training know-how to help trainees learn how to make the Crucible process come alive.
