Clinical Approach

The Marriage & Family Health Center is the birthplace of a ground-breaking approach to relationships, personal growth, sex, and intimacy. We offer this approach in two levels of application: The Crucible® Approach (also know as the Sexual Crucible® Approach) to integrated marital and sex therapy, studied by health care professionals around the world and used by the founders of this approach in the Intensive Therapy Program at the Marriage & Family Health Center.

The Passionate Marriage® Approach is our psycho-educational "consumer" version designed for the general public. This is the approach we use in our three-day Passionate Marriage Couples Enrichment Weekends, and nine-day Passionate Marriage Couples Retreats. This is what you read about in our books, Passionate Marriage and Resurrecting Sex, and learned from audio-video materials available through our on-line store.
